Mike, I have a feeling there is some critical information missing...This isn't normal at all. If you are using version 5.0 is it build 415? You can find the build # in the properties version page for the vfp.exe.

Do you just have the problem with one scx and others are fine?
Does the form actually run alright and you can exit it normally?
Have you tried to COMPILE FORM ?

Can you narrow it down to a control? I've had trouble with a grid control causing form corruption. The best solution I found was to just delete the grid and readd it.
