Probably a good idea. I wonder what they'll do when they see that message--panic and call my cell phone probably!

The way it works in the production environment is to copy the template from a staging directory, one that users aren't aware of, to their personal directory before creating the document. I'm constantly looking for ways to protect the templates, but according to IT, it simply isn't possible: If the users have read/write access--as necessary for the application--they have free reign to destroy the templates too. We've tried passwords and all sorts of trickery and it just complicates programming without much additonal security..
