Ah, the old mantra that nobody takes personal responibility if you just sit on your hands. In my take since I have been in that area and so have both my sons majority of Palestinians are terrorist until they stand up and denounce their home grown terrorist and make an effort to stop them. You cannot stand by and tacitly say I do not approve and all the while finance them and give them quarters and places to hide, like schools and hospitals so innocents get killed and then blame Israel/US. ( Hence a second amendment comes in handy here for all those that think guns are not necessary in the hand of ordinary citizenry ).

We bombed Germany for the same reason to break the will of the people who chose to idly sit by and facilitate by action or inaction the German was machine. War stinks, it is a nasty business and if you are no good at it or unable to stomach it then contract it out ( like Europe does to us (US ) or prepare to reap the outcome, oblivion at the hand of whatever force decides they like your land better than you. You never hear one Jew say all muslims must be exterminated, but you hear that constantly from every muslim nation and most of its people. If the people do not like the road their country is taking then revolt ( oh that again takes a second amendmant type right that most pacificists over yonder do not condone ) or leave. I have little sympathy for those that try to sit in the stands and appease both sides when they have a big stake in the outcome.

I am a firm believer that Israel has a right to stay as they are and defend themselves at all costs. They have a historic claim that dates back as far as recorded history. When they were re-established in 1947 it was on land they historically owned before they were "displaced". They took the land from a culture that does not exist anymore ( Canaanites ). Why does not Syria, Jordan, or happy old Saudi Arabia step up and give their muslim brothers some land. Why, because thay have no claim. They need to assimilate and since the are muslim arabs they need to assimilate into a simailr culture or change to the culture of the land the wish to live in. Kind of like here, you are welcome here as long as you come in legally and do not try to make my country into the place ( or any other ) you came from. If yours is so great stay there.
