>>>I get really tired of people trying to equate the act of terrorism with fighting a war to quash terrorism.
>>
>>I'm not talking about al quida. They are terrorists. However how would you classify the palestinians? How would you classify the different tribes in iraq. They all are fighting for their cause, and sometimes with atacks that can be classified as terrorism. But they are mainly fighting for their country, their believes and culture. The same for the taliban. Now matter how I disagree with their lifestyle, they did not blow up the twin towers.
>>
>>As you said with every war innocent people are the victims. In world war II the allied forces bombed the hell out of the german citizens. They bombed the hell out of other european citizens and the russians.
>>
>>So what are we doing in iraq? There were no terrorists, no WMD, and the allied forces are responsible for creating a lot of misery up there.
>>
>>>The is no synergy. Terrorist are rabid dogs. They target and kill civilians because they are cowards. Call them what they are feces on the face of humanity. They have no loyalty to a culture or a country. We do not target passive civilans, plain and simple.
>>
>>Terrorist also tend to be a small extremist group out of a more peacefull population. Not all taliban are terrorists. Not all palestinians are. And easily a case could be make for some Americans to be terrorists, raping and killing innocent citizens in iraq, but does not make american terrorist, nor does it make the taliban terrorists nor palestinians. Often they are fighting for their own cause as freedom fighters. The occupiers being the target of their actions. They want to get control again over the area that was taken from them.
>>
>>>The people killed in 911 had no choice they were victims of terrorism. The casualties of the war had a choice, surrender their arms or fight. They choose poorly.
>>
>>Aw man... So the 100+ citizens who died last week were not "Casualties of war" ?? You've totally lost me.
>>
>>>Simple, you don't want to get killed don't raise arms against us. As to civilan deaths they were misfortunate but how many civilians died in WW II to quash a great evil? Albeit collateral damage is never acceptable it is called war and is the vilest of the sometimes necessary evil we do.
>>
>>The problem is that Al quida raised arms with you and you on your turn who were unable to find and punish the ones responsible for it, just got out to iraq and afghanistan where the first had absolutely nothing to do with it, and the second only marginally in providing al quida a home base. So if I slam you in the face and run a way, you're going to get anyone who remotely might have some relationship with me?
>
>The 100+ innocent citizens that died last week were to test the will of those who oppose terrorism and the evil that travels with those who are its proponents. Obviously, they are getting to you and you probably think we should have a nice town hall meeting to resolve our differences. You don't get it... if you're not a Muslim, then your on their hit list.

Obviously you don't know what currently goes on in the north of Pakistan, they are all Muslim, but still they are killing each other. Your view is way too oversimplified. All those 100+ citizen wanted is peace. They were not opposing the allied forces, they became a victim of Taliban terror and allied forces bombardments. They were and are between a rock and a hard place. Make no mistake, most of the Afghanistan want to send their daughters to school. They do not like the Taliban.
