I though it would be possible to simply SELECT * FROM RemoteView and add the created table to New.DBC, but the created table only has 10 character column names. If a cursor was created instead of a table long names would persist, but then how would you add it to New.DBC?

If you created a cursor with correct names, can you just copy structure to the new table which is part of DBC and then insert from the cursor? This is just a thought.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
