Necessary exceptions at best. The average windshield fitter or seat installer does not fall into that category of mission critical.

Reminds me of my dad ( he was an airine pilot ) one time at a party was talking to a bunch of folks and someone snidely commented on how overpaid airline pilots were. He said, "yeah we are but when the wing is on fire I'm worth every penny ain't I?" and walked off. :)

Some people deserve their pay others luck into it via collective bullying with no obvious bang for their buck. I for one am glad that my doctors make as much as they do so they can actually pay back their student loans and afford malpractice insurance so they can fix me and mine when we are broke. A car builder ... ( as far as quality concerns you don't have to buy ).
