OTOH, where was your worthy opponent when employers stopped working (and moved their plants and animals to Asia)? I don't remember him calling them blackmailers or extortioners.

Ah, that's because it wasn't in any announcement of the "do A or else we'll do B". It usually wasn't announced as negotiable at all.
