Not a racial group an under-developed group. We all learned from someone else. The Arabs had their time in the sun with the advances in language and some astronomy discoveries but have been mainly silent for over a millenium. Just like the Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, ancient Chinese, and British Empire; they were all ahead of their peers. Right now it is us. Stating a fact that western civilization is ahead of everyone else in most categories is merely static a cyclical fact and along with those periods of "advanceness" those cultures were denegrated as well. The British Empire of the 19th early 20th century I am sure had understandable pride, or so almost every writer of that time portrayed that image, in their leadership in the world, but I don't feel they have the need to apologize to India, Persians, or anyone else, on the contrary India may have been "occupied" but directly owes their technological status today to Britain (IMO).
