I went to court once against a federal organisation and lost my case. I was young and unprepared at that time. So yes, I can affirm that it may be hard to fight against the government and their lawyers. But I've also saw at the news some cases were the government lost at court, so I know it's not impossible.

The biggest difficulty here is not the government but the fact that they can hire the best lawyers. Same thing can be said about any rich citizen or corporation. Sad to say, but I beleive that it's rarely the party who deserve to win the cause who actually win it, but the party that can afford the best lawyers.
