I know a group of folks who fought the federal government and won. It took 5 years though. They were all let go from government jobs under the 'restructuring and streamlining to save costs' measure. Approximately 1.5-2 years later, the same organization grew to the same size it was before those employees were let go. They sued and won the right to have their position back and all back pay and allowances since the day they were let go. In the end, it turned out it was the manager's only way of dismissing those employees whom she felt were not productive enough (given the union's rules) which everyone suspected but no one discussed at the time.

>I went to court once against a federal organisation and lost my case. I was young and unprepared at that time. So yes, I can affirm that it may be hard to fight against the government and their lawyers. But I've also saw at the news some cases were the government lost at court, so I know it's not impossible.

>The biggest difficulty here is not the government but the fact that they can hire the best lawyers. Same thing can be said about any rich citizen or corporation. Sad to say, but I beleive that it's rarely the party who deserve to win the cause who actually win it, but the party that can afford the best lawyers. "...And Justice for All" by Metallica resume very well what I think of the judiciary system.

>To resume, I did gave you reason about the nightmarish process, but does it mean that you should sit down, do nothing else than complain about your badluck? I don't think so.
>
>>My question was have you ever actually tried it? It is a nightmarish process against an opponent with infinite resources and infinite time and incredible power to do you financial harm in and out of the courtroom.
