I have become one of those "Get a job ya bum" types. The U.S. parent of the company I was with decided, I guess, that they could do our jobs cheaper and better (well, cheaper, anyway) from the U.S., so they shut down our department. There were three of us. It's been just under a month now, and because they gave me a good package, I'm not in any sort of desparate straits, but I've been spending less time on the UT and more time doing other stuff around here that I didn't get time to do because I was working. I have a couple of things in the pipe, and depending on how they work out, I might actually end up better off than I was. Time will tell, and fortunately, I do have some time.
