I've had a little look at the event and properties code in the component gallery base classes of VFP 6 - the ones with names like _toolbar, _label etc.

While I think there's some important stuff in theret some of the code looks like it's going to slow things down quit a lot - with PEMStatus() and TYPE("ccc") etc.

Are these classes "serious" stuff?
Are real developers actually using them?
