Try reading up on the topic, it may help a lot. Also it may help if you can come up with a plan (of course, it may turn out to not be followed on the actual day), but having a plan and all possible concerns and trying to think in advance when and how to use/not use medications, may help a lot in the critical moment.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
