Joking aside, to me a source control program is a fundamental tool every professional developer should be using. I realize it isn't always up to the developer. WinZip is better than hanging it all out there in the wind but what kind of line by line difference history does it offer? None I know of. What kind of comments about why the change was made? Version stamping a release, regardless of when the last change was made to each module? In anything bigger than a one man shop, how to control access so two developers don't stomp all over each other? Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
