Yeah, people keep trotting out that "judicial legislation" horse hockey.

The SC did not change the constitution. They merely read it and came to the conclusion that same-sex marriage had actually been legal all along. There was nothing in the constitution forbidding it.

Sadly, the lynch mob has now changed that. It's a sad day when Iowa is a more progressive state than CA.

I might add, that polling indicated that the measure was going to fail until Gavin Newsom opened his fat trap and gave the pro-8 crowd the perfect soundbite to rally the voters.
