Are you sure that human society has already reached pristine heights to pontificate about these issues? Can it return back, in a whim of civilization mechanism, when traditional marriage would achieve some importance again? There is some distance between Star Wars on tvs and real world around, and, realistically speaking, imho, we have better chance to re-visit caves, or disappear altogether than resting on Olympus while preparing for Gaia finale.
