Correction: Linq To SQL is not supported on the compact framework 3.5 (not yet).
It is not true that it is unsupported for SQLCe provided you are using at least framework version 3.5 or something like J.Albahari's LinqBridge.
PS: I just tried with SQL CE to be sure and it is supported.
