>>>>>>>>Hmmmm... I see your point. It is his FRANCHISE that is being given FREEly to another dealer, not the Inventory.
>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>Why isn't the government bailing out these franchises? They allowed Chrysler to pick and choose whom to destroy, then why doesn't the government print out some money and bail out those lost franchises? That would give them time to purchase other franchises from some other car manufacturer (foreign) and keep Americans at work.
>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>Seems only fair.......
>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>Democrats only care about fairness in theory... not in practice.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Come on, Mike. That kind of demonizing and stereotyping is not useful. It's the copout of people far less smart than you. (On both sides, so please don't take this as a partisan rant).
>>>>>
>>>>>Is it though? It seems democrats only care about fairness when it meets their agenda. For example, "fairness" to illegal immigrants, "fairness" to failing businesses, "fairness" to poor families. What about fairness to our children regarding the huge debt to be paid off? You don't hear Olbermann talking about that. How about fairness to me to keep the fruits of my labor rather than redistrubuting it? (projection, I know, but if you don't think taxes are going to skyrocket to pay for these programs then you're crazy) How about fairness to me to be able to live my life the way I want to, and raise my children the way I want to, without the government intefering or vocal liberals calling me a gun-toting redneck?
>>>>
>>>>Or your children being taught in school that its okay to have 2 mommies or 2 daddies, that global warming will destroy their world, that big business is causing the destruction of the planet....etc...
>>>
>>>I'll take door #1, with all due respect.
>>>
>>>What is it about homosexual love that offends you? The facts of it make me squeamish, too, They are just different from you and me. (No, I didn't mean as a couple, LOL). Our personal squeamishness should not give us license to consider them less equal. Once upon a time blacks were not allowed to vote in this country. Women were not allowed to vote. We evolve.
>>
>>Nothing bothers me about it. But I dislike political indoctrination of students as part of a liberal agenda. Don't take junk science and conjectue and scare kids with the destruction of the planet and environmental agendas. The NEA has an agenda, AN ULTRA LIBERAL AGENDA, and they are using our kids and clasrooms as their forum for change. We evolve, yes, but evolving to a point where teaching includes abnormal behavior as the norm we have begun the slow decent into obscurity and meaninglessness. It is the end of a once proud and great country.
>>
>
>We are still a proud and great country. I have not served in the armed forces as you have but I am shoulder to shoulder with you on this. No one should mistake my comments for an attack on my country.
>
>You are trying to blend the words norm, normal, and abnormal in a disingenuous way. I do not think homosexuality is the norm. By all estimates we are talking about less than 10% of the population, not that the percentage really matters. But neither do I consider them abnormal. They were just born that way. The analogy of left handedness has long been made and I think it's apt. Should we look down upon and enclose left handed people? (Actually the Catholic education system did, but never mind). We are talking about real people, John. They are not the way they are just to piss you off. And they don't deserve to be treated as lesser Americans than you or me.

I am saddened to see these tactics once again. An argument for maintaining the culture of marriage in this country cannot be skewed into what you are trying to make it. Shame on you. It is a tactic I've seen too much in the media as well, but it certainly is worse here than anywhere. To me, it appears you are twisting his words and reading into them what is most likely not there.

Personally, I think marriage should be legal between two consenting ADULTS in every state in this country. I do not care whether they be of the same sex, the same race, the same religion, or whatever. That does not take away from any priviledge of anyone else. It hurts no one. I only care that the two parties be of consenting age. However, I am against forcing anyone to perform the marriage of any two people. Just as Catholic priests cannot be forced to perform marriage ceremonies for anyone not of their faith now, I do not think anyone can be forced to perform the religious ceremony. The only enforcement to guarantee the same privileges is in public local or state facilities.
