I actually think how wild they go depends on a bunch of factors, but I think among them ar how strict and how fair parenting has been until then. If kids have been given some rope and allowed to make mistakes and suffer the consequences of them, I think they're less inclined to really go wild. Similarly, if kids have been treated fairly and with respect, I think the deep end they go off isn't as deep.

I'm also a big believer in teenagers being involved in lots of activities that keep them busy. <s>
