>I am sure this has come up many times before, but let me ask it once again anyway. We are rewriting a VFP 9 app into VB8. One of the mains tasks of the app is printing a large number of legal documents. In VFP we stored the expressions etc to be printing in a database and at print time just called the Evaluate function on the contents of the memo field. I realize this approach does not work in VB, but I did not realize that there does not appear to be anything in VB to replace it. We thought we had a solution using JavaScript but that is being deprecated and we could not get it to work with Vista so it has been abandoned. Then we thought we had a solution using embedded expressions with Linq and XML , but that didn't work either (MS says that it will dynamically evaluate whatever is embedded in the xml but it doesn't)
