> I agree. No one knows the future. We can only estimate based upon known information, but ABC did a forecast to a hundred years ahead based on existing science results and trends.

Everytime anyone has made these types of forecast they have turned out staggeringly wrong and under/over the mark. They make fodder for TV and thats about it.

The future will mainly be shaped not by extrapolating existing trends but by quantum leaps brought about by entirely new developments that are not even envisaged currently, at least not by most of us.
