Hi Kevin.
Thanks for your reply.

So you reckon SSRS for Pre printed stationery is a runner ..i.e. it is doable with precise posistioning, Headers,Detail and
Trailer bands with totals ....I've had a look at SSRS and my first look , it all seems to be revolved around the tablix..which looks great for your management reports .. but I was abit concerned that there might be Gotchas for Forms..we spend a loy of time in our apps setting up forms for printing.... Orders,Despatches, Invoices, Statements, Cheques, Remittances,Purchase Orders, receipts etc..
and some of them can get quite complicated depending on customised user requirements .

Now I realise there's a lot more to SSRS but, at this stage, its better to have some idea of its capabilities limitations rather than getting a few surprises down the road

As regards Dot Matrix, I seem to be the only person around these parts that has been trying to get rid of them for the last 20 years but they just wont go away... as a matter of interest, what do your customers do who want printed dockets stuck together and also require a signature on at least two copies. Although you can put Carboised Paper into a Laser printer, I have not yet come across a printer that will support say 2/3 copies stuck together.

Regards,
Gerard
