Call Ripley - I agree with you 100%. As a matter of fact, with national health insurance, cap and trade, VAT, and hyper-inflation looming their ugly heads on the horizon, Andy and I are now stimulating the economy a lot more than Obama's policies are. We have decided that we need to purchase anything that we will need within the next few years right now because we will never be able to get them cheaper. Within the last few months, we have gottem new capreting, coated our aluminum siding with vinyl, painted the family room and purchased a new sectional. A new hot water heater and carpeting for the upstairs are next... I just called Ripley - he's still stunned about the time that John Ryan and I agreed on something. <s>
You're right, you probably WON'T get them cheaper.
I recall a Saturday Night Live skit from the late 70's, when Dan Akroyd did a great impression of (then president) Jimmy Carter.
"Since I took office, unemployment has increased, interest rates are on the rise, and prices are skyrocketing. So in short, since I took office, the U.S. economy has been screwed, blued, and tattooed. But I have a solution.....think of inflation, as our friend! At the rate we're going, before you know it, we'll all be millionaries. Don't you wish you could drive hundred thousand dollar cars, smoke hundred dollar cigars, and live in million-dollar homes? I sure wish I could".
