>>Wound up buying a Chevrolet Aveo (made by Daewoo in Korea with a Chevy name sticker) and a Kia Spectra 5. Both get better than 30MPG and I can fit in them. Bonus was that both were very inexpensive!
>>
>>This weekend we are trading in the Aveo for a Toyota Prius. It doe not have the headroom I need but my wife will make good use of close to 50MPG.

>These small cheap fake (that's irony) Chevrolet's are selling at there too. I know big Chevrolet's from my child years. All of korean Chevrolet's are really bad cars. I prefer japan or european (expecially german) cars. You would be choose Toyota Yaris/Auris or Volkswagen Polo/Golf for your wife.

Koreans sell quality stuff in USA. Maybe, it is different in Turkey. I will consider Korean car when time comes to replace my Corolla.
In regard to size/power, one should remember seasonal/road conditions. I would not use Corolla if I had to drive in rural, upstate NY in winter.
