I thought you are more egalitarian in your views. Should not government take care of these inequalities? After all, I suspect, it knows better how to do this farming thing.

LOL

If the farming industry and/or food importers screwed up and risked leaving the citizenry to starve, I suppose government would have to step in to take them over as well. Lets hope it doesn't happen. But if government keeps propping them up (e.g. with the newly created export subsidies) then perhaps it becomes more likely.

People who think that pure market theory is a failure based on recent events don't necessarily believe the exact opposite, you know.
