I did not know until reading an end-of-life article about "Family Guy" the other day that the man behind it is/was Mike Judge, who earlier did "Office Space." Maybe I should have given it a try. I just have some kind of resistance to character driven animation without much visual pizzazz. If I'm going to watch a "cartoon" I want it to be visually spectacular, like the Pixar stuff.

Adult cartoons are seldom about the visual effects....take a look at all of them:

South Park
Beavis and Butthead
Family Guy
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Morel Orel


None of them will win any awards for animation....they're all about the humor. These are some of the funniest shows on television. Heck, even the Simpsons is cheesy animation, but it's funny (well, once in a blue moon it's funny)
