Hi Gang...

A colleague here asked me why he was getting a Numeric Overflow on a field of a table. The field was 9,0 9 wide with no decimals.

It was displayed as ****** in the field.

Don't know what the value was going on.

The code that put the value there was...

myvalue = val(right(mystring,6))

replace myfield with myvalue

I tried different combinations for mystring, but could not overflow it...... any ideas what made it overflow on that certain value? Or what the value might be?
