I don't know if he falls into this category so it's not directed at him, but I am surprised at the folks who insist on laws to protect those who cannot protect themselves or as a means for the safety of the public (seatbelt laws, speeding laws, drinking under age, driving without a license, etc) yet don't feel that immunizations should be treated the same way. Why do they not support mandatory immunizations for everyone on the deadliest of diseases in order to protect the public? I don't see the difference unless they truly believe that immunizations can do more harm than good.

There is no difference. Seatbelt laws and non mandatory immunizations serves the doctors. A dead and a healthy one can not be charged.
