I've used xCase for years and find it quite useful. I use it not to just produce diagrams, but to maintain the back end itself. It's not free and may be more than you're looking for however.

I would like it to show the connections between the tables, listing which fields are linked, and if it's a one-to-many relationship, and for the lines to adjust themselves if I move the tables in the diagram. Since I'm working with a large database, I'd like to be able to import it, without having to type in every table, field and link. I tried using Visio, but I cannot get the lines (that show the links) to move when I move the tables. Also, it didn't import all of the links that connect the tables. Any suggestions?
