A word of advice about daughters -- at a very young age they have their own opinions and resist attempts to mold them. By about age 10 she will consider you somewhat old and out of it. That doesn't mean she won't love you or listen to you, because she will, but it's going to be through that prism. Trust me.

What you have been posting about Katy reminds me so much of how I felt when the girls were babies, especially the first time. They are 19 and almost 17 now and are still the best things in my life by far.
