And a woman too <s>. My question is: why aren't more people angry at what Obama is doing to this country? We had a party last night and the topic turned to politics. One of my neighbors actually said that he voted for Obama because he thought that Obama would lower his taxes - had no clue about the issues - did not know what Cap and Trade was. IMHO, that was how Obama got in - people who were sick of Bush that has absolutely not idea of what the issues were - they just watched commercials.

I meant "a man" in a general sense....remember that Ayn Rand was happy to be called "the bravest man in America" and once proclaimed herself "a proud male chauvenist". :)

Give it time, more people will become outraged with Obama. We're now seeing the first signs that he either made campaign promises he knew he couldn't keep....or was so incredibly ignorant and naive beforehand.

There is no question that Obama won much of the vote because of frustration with Bush. I know disgruntled people who voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004, who became unemployed in the last year or so, and blame Bush for everything. However, blame also needs to be placed on the doorstep of a Republican party that is in disarray right now - and I'm not sure if their defeat in 2008 has been enough of a reality check for them.

Anyone who thought Obama would lower taxes (except for anybody earning under maybe 30-40K) is really out of touch.

A fool with a cause is not a pretty thing....a fool with a cause, as well as power, is a dangerous thing.
