I had no intention to deny it. It still does not explain why it should be sad that Canadian teams do not win cup often. By simple math (6 teams of total 30) it should be rare.
By the way, if you are familiar with NHL draft system, you should know that Canadians 'come to' US-based team just because these teams draft them, i.e. they cannot refuse.
