I don't think creating such a structure (DOCINFO) is more difficult in VFP than it is in VC++. As long as we deal with pointers to strings, strings and integers, we can do this pretty comfortable in VFP.

I'm not really disagreeing with you, but I live by the 'the right tool for
the job' philosophy. In most such cases a C built DLL is the right tool
for the job...
