>Having been a FoxPro developer for almost 20 years I am slightly embarrased to say that I just learned last week that VFP can create Web Services (maybe even more embarassing, I learned at the same time what a web service is). I suppose I never needed it until now. :) Anyway, I find myself in a bit of a situation: I need to create a few simple(?) web srevices for a very large national corporation and I need to be in the testing phase in 2 weeks. I have been learning what I can from the MSDN site and going through their 'walkthrough' project with no luck. Can someone point me in a direction to find some info to help me get started? Please bear in mind that this is all new to me... I installed IIS on my machine last Friday - but I don't even know if it is set up right. I need some source with step-by-step instructions on how to get started.

Larry,
If you type 'Web services' in help index you would get a series of topics including a walkthrough.
I have been doing foxpro for maybe 25+ too but I would prefer .Net for creating and deploying the web service. It is easy there (but 'easy' is a very relative term I know). You may create with VFP in day or two (it is easy following the walkthrough) and then do .Net version. My .02 cents.
