>Thanks again, Cetin. So, how much easier is .NET? And considering the fact that I know very little about this, should I be trying that instead of VFP? And if I do, can I still write the web service code in VFP (using the VFP-generated dll)? And how would I start on that? And please, bear in mind that I have less than 2 weeks now to get this ready for the testing phase.

I wouldn't take your responsibility :) How easy is that is fully relative. On a rough guess I could do create a new web service with few methods, in half an hour or so in .Net (latest web service I did was a friend of mine's who is doing VFP - we talked on the phone at night and I chose to do in ,net. It took less than half an hour to create, test, deploy - .Net have more tools for the job).
But that doesn't mean it would be the same for you. Like medicine, a doctor can make diagnosis, for some cases, in a minute but that is in fact "years of experience, sweat, tears, blood + one minute" :) To a doctor then it is easy but to a regular person it is not (sorry couldn't resist, being an MD myself).
Instead what I am saying do that in VFP and make it on time for your deadline, then when you have time yu can try to rewrite it in .Net (and I am talking as if you already know the .Net - that alone takes more than two weeks).
PS: You can use VFP generated DLL from .Net but even that idea irritates me and I do whatever the DLL is doing in .Net too.
