I never got into radio. Dad was an electronics geek and built a 9" Dumont in about 1949. We had electronics way beyond our pricerange because dad built them, but color was slow in coming (Dad was geeked out on Stereo by then ) I know we didn't have a color TV when I left for college 1964. It was about 1966 when the fraternity voted about 2k for a color tv in time for football season <g>
