We no longer use the ODBC connection to the Fox tables. When we switched to the DDE method, our corruption lessened to about 20% of what it was.

The only thing the DDE does is:
1. Read some data for display in the shipping system
2. Change the status code in one of the problem tables (shipping table)
The records that experience the corruption are not necessarily the ones that the shipping system accessed on that day.

Now that we have put a 10 character bogus field as the 1st field of each problem table, we have experienced this corruption (in the bogus field now) only once in the last 9 work days. (a record for us!)
