The reason I don't want to use the error event is that in the base class of our forms, there is a custom method used for error trapping that precedes the actual error event, so that when you use an ON ERROR clause to trap the error, the error still pops up before you even get to that code. A very sticky wicket indeed.

I think I've found a way around it though.
