Greetings All,
Are there any issues with VFP 6.0 in regards to ODBC and SQL Server 6.5 that would cause a lock out situation for other VFP users on the network.
Here's the scenario....
I USE a remote view, do a replace all name with upper(name) and it works fine. If others try the same after mine completes they get a "wait for access to table, ESC to cancel" type error. If I do a CLOSE ALL then they can proceed....any ideas? It didn't appear to do this in VFP 5.0 but it does now in 6.0.
Here's another....
Async vs Sync connection properties. If I run an update via SPT, and check @@ROWCOUNT with Async turned on, then the cursor storing numupdated isn't created yet for the MESSAGEBOX after the SQLEXEC() so, turning ASYC off now causes VFP 6.0 to hang.....any ideas?
