>Hold on there. Like it or not, Iran is an Islamic state. So of course the most important person in the country (whatever title one calls him by) will be Islamic. Our belief in separation of church and state is not applicable in Iran.

It should be. As long a the mosque and state are combined, turmoil such as what it happening this week will plague the people of that country and other like it.

>>I agree, religion has nothing to do with it, but the supreme almighty Ayatolla is behind the government response. He should not be involved in government he should be running a mosque and be concerned with his religion. What if a protester consulted with a moolah about the protests? Could the protester trust the Moolah? I wouldn't.

>>>Islam, like Christianity, IS a religion of peace. The problem comes when humans run off the face of the earth with their version of it. Besides, again, the base reason for the protesting is crooked elections. Religion has absolutely nothing to do with it, other than the political leaders just happen to be the religious leaders.

If you have a son daughter who was shot for demonstating, you have to buy the bullet that killed them in order to get the body back. The price? $3000.00 How disgusting.
