I also tried your code (VFP 8) and never got a BROWSE window.

FWIW.....

Nothing in the help file indicated to me that a Browse window should appear with CREATE SQL VIEW.
Running the example in the help file didn't open a Browse window either.
Looked at Tools-->Options and couldn't find a setting there either.
