>Hi all. Sorry if this is stupid. I have Visual Studio 2005 Pro which came with a disc for SQL Server 2005. I have installed it, uninstalled it and installed it again. I am not seeing any new tools. What is supposed to show up and where does it show up? I have been using SQL Server 2000, I got the tools from OfficeXP Developers' Edition. It has Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer and the other tools. But I am considering migrating my data to 2005. My hosting service says the server my database is on is old and the database has been down twice in the past two weeks so I am concerned. They upgraded my account and I can use 2005 now, but I need to have tools to work with the data. I'm told the 2005 tools are quite different, no more Enterprise Manager and such. But there has to be something!

Hi Dana,

Not sure if this would be of any help, but you can download for free SQL Server 2008 Express with advanced services (it includes most of the tools).
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
