ROL,L and LOL!!! I forgot about that. I still remember when I was working on my psychology degree and studying B. F. Skinner and what he said about shaping behavior through positive and negative reinforcement. I thought it was all over-simplified pseudo-scientific claptrap.
OK, so living beings seek pleasure and avoid pain - I'll buy that. However, it is much easier to define what rats consider pleasurable (eating the cheese) and painful (getting an electric shock). Not such a simple matter when it comes to human beings which tend to be a little more complex.
Even though I have met some people in my time that could qualify as rats, I am not sure how successfully you can extrapolate from rat behavior to human behavior <s>.
