You're welcome, Dmitry. By the way, the control I mentioned uses XML as in a sitemap file as a default. Using the SQL Server data was a different approach. They had an example on their site and I looked at it and liked the basic idea but it lacked the robustness and simplicity I desired, so I loosely based my own version on it. Their tool sets won the ASP.NET annual User's Choice awards in just about every category they were entered.

>Thank you for the suggestion and input. So far, from watching the video (that Naomi sent me) on implementing site navigation using ASP.NET web.sitemap, it could be just what I am looking for. But if it does not work, I will make a note to download and check out the controls you found.

>>Hi Dmitry,

>>I have recently picked up a set of free controls from the award winning ASPXperience suite from DevExpress. There is a menu that is really nice, and with my limited experience I have set it up to be data driven even. I believe the free set is still available. I found out about it on the CodeProject web site. The download has some other controls that are trial versions, but there are about 60 controls that are free. Some are for web forms, some are for WinForms. They are helpful there, too, and have video tutorials on some of their controls. I just thought you, and others, might be interested. I'm always interested in something that's good for free! :)

>>>Hi,
>>>
>>>On my web site (that I developed around 5-6 years ago) I was using a pull-down menu developed by some guy (all I remember is that his name is Scott) who placed his product on some ASP.NET community site free. He called it skmMenu (I believe that the first 3 letters are his initials).
>>>
>>>The last time I updated my site was in 2004. Today I wanted to start making changing and updating my site but the top pull-down menu is broken. I don't know if it is because I am not using VS 2005 SP1 and his product was not compatible or some other reason. And I don't want to go back and try to figure out how to use this skmMenu.
>>>
>>>I believe that ASP.NET has a class for creating a pull-down menu for a site. And my understanding (just from reading somewhere) that it is not hard to implement. If you used it, can you point me to an article on line describing how to add a pull-down menu to an ASP.NET (2.0) site?
>>>
>>>Thank you in advance for your help.
