>>>C'mon, don't ignore the (a-hem) upside for Republicans -- at least this time it involved heterosexuals. ;-)
>>>

>>>Actually I pity the guy. These things are not for public sport. He should invite all first-stone-caster types over for a big "family" cookout after resigning. Leaving w/o redirecting governing powers to the lt. is what has no excuse. Next is reasonable questioning about any tax-payer monies involved. Oh wait. Isn't he a first-stone-caster type anyway? Haha Figures.

>>I think the issue is not so much the affair (at least it didn't involve a cigar in his gubernatorial office)
>
>Yep, a cigar is just a cigar. But a llama is... well we just don't the details yet. ;-)
>
>>Just as Clinton's affair was not about the affair but rather perjury.
>
>Perjury sucks. I'd like to have seen Newt have to answer the same type questioning under oath just to be fair & balanced. lol But that would be petty -- I know he was a 'busy' man himself at the time.

>>I know some folks see dishonesty and breaking a marriage vow as an example that the person would not honor a contract with the people as well or look out for their best interests instead of his own, but I'm not sure that can be true in all cases.
>
>I'm not one. We mortals are as capable as ever. That such "values" were political for him is just poetic justice.
>
>>Besides, homosexuality itself is not an issue. For some it was the 'breaking of a marriage contract' or the 'dishonesty' or 'selfishness' or 'no trust.' I still the main issue as the departure without arrangement for the state in his absence. As for homosexuality, Dems Barney Frank of Massachusetts and Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin have started a caucus now to ensure equal rights and equal protection.

>Not an issue for me either. Was it for him ya think? haha I enjoyed The Handmaid' Tale. You know of it?
>ill, poor dude.

It's just a thought, but has anyone considered that when an event such as this happens, the participants are in their forties? Consider this. When some women are in their forties, many enter menopause which is the general shutdown of the female reproductive system including the loss of the hormones which help a female to become interested in a man. The man is going through a 'getting older' phase too and he is beginning to feel that things are beginning to slip. So, now we have a man who wants to prove that 'he still has it' and a women who is beginning to not care whether she has it or not. Could this be a contributing factor in the 'cheating' that occurs, by men about that age?
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
