I don't know if this is true but I respect your opinion. I do agree that VFP has been more data-centric development whereas VB has been more general and multi-purpose development but I think this is changing fast.
I think choice of application is dictated by the database engine being used:
1. If using VFP engine (.DBC), use VFP.
2. If SQL server, use VB.
Then there is the possibility of using VFP for back and middle logical tier and using VB (or I guess any other) UI to access the data. This is what I would like to do. However, I don't know if the next person (going to be part-time I'm told) will be able to maintain the system properly.
