Thanks for the input John. I originally was using a view but abandoned it after failing to be able to add parameters to both the WHERE and the ORDER BY clauses. I read a tip in FoxPro Advisor that showed how to use ?parameterS in the order by clause but I couldn't get it to work. Anyway, to make a long story short, I've written the code to collect various sorting and filtering information from the user and stuff it into the rowsource of a listbox using ¯osubstitution. It worked great until I sorted and filtered to much.
