Thread #1403230, and what I had to say there is in message #1403429 - the particular behaviors of aDir() and the details. Nadya was riding on one of the behaviors - if you issue it with a "", "D" parameters, it gives all subdirectories (including . and .., but no files) immediately below current directory; if you want it to do that elsewhere, you have to go there.
