Sorry for unrelated question, but I spent several hours already on this little problem and can not succeed.

I have a table called Options that has an ID and Description (char 100) field.

I have another table called Opts which has OptionID field. I think I set up everything correctly in Data manager (RI, PickList builder, etc.). I put a textbox on the form and set its ControlSource to be Opts.OptionID, set it to lLookupDescription property to .T.

I have two problems.

1. The field becomes too wide, is there a way to only display part of the Description then and not make it so wide?

2. More important issue - instead of Displaying the list it gives me a message "Field list is empty".

I don't know how to fix the problem. Do you think I should switch to combobox? Finally, I don't really want to put this value into the field, I just want this kind of Lookup list with a textbox showing description.

Do you know how can I set it up?
