I have inquired about his before but, after more than a year of trial and error, I still am not happy with the way this process works--perahps because I haven't explained the objective clearly. I'll try to make this question as straightforward as possible.

I have an automation class that creates Word documents and prints them to PDF or paper. I need to "pause" the automation process to allow the user to edit the document in Microsoft Word. Note that a reference to the Word object exists, the document is open and active--in fact it is the ONLY document.. While editing, the user must not be able to Save, Print or Close the document. Attempts to close Word itself will be interpreted as an indication that editing is complete. At that point, Word should become invisible and control will return to the automation sequence.

What should this "pause for editing" look like in code? I'm specifically interested in how to bind Word events and how to "unbind" them since the automation process requires Word's normal functionality.
